The Havanese is a small, short legged breed that is 8" to 11" tall at the shoulders and 7 to 13 lbs. Their coat is a soft double-coat that's wavy to curly and can reach 6 to 8" in length and it is considered little to no shed. Our puppies/dogs are kept in a specially built nursery which is heated/air conditioned and humidity controlled to be kept at 70 degrees year-round.

The Havanese is an old breed of the Bichon family as their ancestors date back to 23 to 79 B. in the Mediterranean region possibly originating on the island of Malta.
Also known as Havana Silk Dog, the Havanese descended from the dogs that found a permanent home in Cuba, where many wealthy Cubans owned them.
